Southwest of Pahang, lies between two major mountain ranges (the main range and the eastern mountain range).
Any time of year. Wet seasons are between April to May and September to January. The drier months usually fall between February and April and June to August.
Overland, via the Karak highway (TR 2) and then south towards Triang (TR 10). Before Kampung Kerayong (on the TR 10) take this junction and follow the signs to the northern end of the tourist facilities. Alternatively, via Kuala Pilah (TR 51) and Bahau (TR 11) and the look out for the signposted junction that will lead you north of the road. From then on, just follow the signs. By train to Mentakap or Triang and then overland to Tasik Bera.

Light clothing and prepare for the sun, boating and forest trails.
Limited. Simple tourist facilities at Tanjung Kuin. Only one "resort" accommodation, but homestays are also available.
An important wetland site of Malaysia, there has been more than 200 birds and 50 mammals recorded.
Boating, trekking and camping, fishing, wildlife and bird watching. Cultural tourism (Semelai aborigines).
